- Postbacks and server-side events. NavBar items have built-in capability of raising server-side events. The entire NavBar structure is exposed for programmatic access through the event arguments.
- Viewstate maintenance. Programmatic changes to the NavBar structure are automatically persisted across multiple postbacks. ComponentArt NavBar viewstate can be disabled using the standard ASP.NET property EnableViewState="false".
- ASP.NET form validation. CausesValidation property is exposed by the NavBar class, as well as the NavBarItem class. Therefore, whether ASP.NET form validation will be triggered after an item is selected is controlled via a control-wide setting, and can be overridden on the NavBarItem level.
